KDSA gets inspired by the tales
Mortimer
Even though the company may be focused squarely on the technological world of IT, network and business management services, it is the charities that help children, families and people with disabilities that bring out the human side of the folks at KDSA Consulting LLC.
“We tend to lend the most support to the human service providers — specifically organizations that serve children and families or individuals with disabilities,” said Dawn Mortimer, principal at North Andover-based KDSA. “It is startling when you start asking around just how many families have at least one member that is in need of special services. It touches almost every one that you speak to.”
Targeting charities focused on special services comes naturally to KDSA, Mortimer said, as much of the firm’s client base has historically come from the nonprofit sector. KDSA helps the non-profits it works with stay current on technology, control costs and gain efficiencies — the same roles it plays when dealing with paying customers.
For all of the time, money and services KDSA provides to its charitable recipients, Mortimer said that it is the personal connections with the people at those organizations — and the people they help — that keeps her and her staff inspired.
“I enjoy events that allow me to interact directly with individuals with disabilities,” Mortimer said. “I am amazed by their talents and their love of life. I am also amazed by the care givers and direct support staff. The amount of commitment and dedication that they show each and every day is astonishing.”
