Battery Ventures names two new general partners
By Kyle Alspach, Boston Business Journal
Battery Ventures’ Waltham office has named a new general partner, Jesse Feldman, who specializes in software and industrial technology investments.
Feldman is one of two new general partners at Battery, the other being Brian O’Malley, based in the firm’s Menlo Park, Calif., office, the firm said Thursday.
Battery — whose recent exits have included the 2011 IPOs of Groupon, Angie’s List and Skullcandy — now has 10 general partners, the firm said.
Feldman has been with Battery since 2005, focuses on growth equity and buyouts, and leads the firm’s industrial technology practice.
His board seats include HighJump Software, a supply chain management software firm in Minnesota; Rogue Wave Software, a software development tool firm in Colorado; and GMI, an industrial safety technology firm in Scotland.
Feldman holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, and prior to Battery worked at New York’s Ionian Management, where he was a founding member of the firm’s VC fund.
