Watertown-based Cadmus Group Inc. has acquired Constructive Technologies Group (CTG), a green building services firm that provides consulting in the areas of energy efficiency, as well as building science and failure risk topics.
The buyout of Irvine, Calif.-based CTG includes the company’s two consulting firms, CTG Energetics and CTG Forensics. Among the West Coast company’s clients are Adobe Systems, MGM Resorts International, Google, U.S. Green Building Council, Cushman & Wakefield, American Campus Communities, Toyota Motor Sales USA, Hyundai Motors and the U.S. General Services Administration.
Cadmus is focused on green building services – energy efficiency programs and sustainability practice development – for government clients. It also works with utilities to develop and measure energy savings programs.
No financial terms of the acquisition were disclosed. However, a news release from Cadmus indicated that CTG will operate as Cadmus and will retain its Irvine headquarters, as well as its offices in Denver and Oakland, Calif. The merger will give Cadmus a staff of 400 employees.
As part of the acquisition, CTG founder and CEO Malcom Lewis will join the Cadmus executive committee. Lewis is a member of the LEED Fellows inaugural class, chosen by the Green Building Certification Institute.
