A packed house at the Sheraton Boston last night watched Boston agency Almighty LLC take home the Best in Show honors at the MITX Awards, at an event hosted by a star of the movie “Best in Show,” actor John Michael Higgins.
Almighty actually won two awards for its Good Form Running Marathon Expo Experience - Best in Show and the Applied Technology award. According to a release from the Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange, more than 1,000 people showed up to the 16th annual awards last night. The awards honor websites, applications, and marketing campaigns in 26 categories. SapientNitro, last year’s Best in Show winner, walked away with multiple awards last night, as did larger firms such as Mullen and Arnold Worldwide.
Founded in 1996 as the Massachusetts Interactive Media Council, MITX brought on board president Debi Kleiman in October 2010, replacing long-time president Kiki Mills, who was named a Mass High Tech All-Star in November 2010.
Last month, Emily Nagle Green, chairman of Yankee Group and long-time board member of MITX, was honored as a Mass High Tech All-Star.
