Daily deals site company RapidBuyr LLC has purchased B2B-focused weekly deal site BizDeals.com of Los Angeles for an undisclosed amount.
Concord-based RapidBuyr said in a release that buying BizDeals.com will give it “hundreds of new national sellers” to add to the RapidBuyr network and expand its customer base. In addition, RapidBuyr gets the community and social assets BizDeals has developed, and its distribution network, officials said in the release.
Both companies offer deals to business clients from other businesses, with RapidBuyr concentrating on the small to midsize business space, and making offerings daily instead of weekly. RapidBuyr has partnership deals with media outlets such as TechTarget, BuyerZone and Mass High Tech’s parent company, American City Business Journals. The partnership marks the second pairing of ACBJ with Tom and Darr Aley, the co-founders of RapidBuyr. In 2004, the brothers teamed together to found Generate Inc., a web-based data and information service firm. ACBJ was the sole outside investor and a partner of Generate until it was acquired by Dow Jones & Co. in 2008.
Founded in 2010, RapidBuyr was recognized this August as one of Mass High Tech’s “Startup Watch: Five you should follow” companies.
