

Coronado Biosciences Inc. appointed Noah Beerman as executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Burlington maker of novel immunotherapy biologic agents. Beerman previously served as director, president and CEO of Galena Biopharma, the company formerly known as RXi Pharmaceuticals Corp.
Beerman, who has been a consultant for Coronado, helped bring in equity funding for RXi Pharmaceuticals when he worked there from 2009 until April this year. Prior to RXi, he was executive vice president, chief business officer for Indevus Pharmaceuticals Inc., now owned by Endo Pharmaceuticals. Before Indevus, he served as vice president of venture firm Technology Management and Funding, where he oversaw the biotechnology portfolio companies. He graduated with an MBA from Northeastern University’s High Technology Program and a bachelors degree in molecular genetics from the University of Rochester.
Coronado Biosciences develops drug candidates targeting multiple sclerosis, inflammatory bowel disease and acute myeloid leukemia. Since its founding in 2006, it has acquired assets of UCL Business plc and Asphelia Pharmaceuticals Inc.
