Oxford Networks pumps $5M into data center partner

By Rodney H. Brown

Lewiston, Maine-based network services company Oxford Networks will be investing $5 million into its Maine neighbor Resilient Tier-V Corp. as part of a new partnership to offer network and data services in the region.

Resilient is based in the new business park on the site of the former Brunswick Naval Air Station, running a secure data center in a hardened former national security facility, according to a release from Oxford. The partnership is targeting business and government customers.

Matt Jancovic, director of marketing and customer service for Oxford Networks, said the “new partnership will offer redundant multi-gigabit fiber optic connectivity to Boston and beyond.”

Oxford Networks
, which is officially known as Oxford County Telephone and Telegraph Co., made $437,000 in the first quarter of 2011, up 235 percent from $131,000 for the same period in 2010, according to the company’s website.
