Willms takes CEO role at Optaros

Optaros Inc., an open-source software consulting and integration firm in Boston, has named Robert Willms as president and CEO of the company. He takes over the post from Bob Gett, founder of the company, who will serve as chairman of the board of directors, the company reported in a news release.

Willms has previous entrepreneurial and executive experience having founded and served as CEO of digital production services firm digitalArbor. Prior to joining Optaros, Willms worked for Digitas LLC as executive vice president of Digitas Inc. Earlier roles with the company include president of Digitas Boston Region and global head of strategy and enablement services.

Founded in 2004, Optaros provides its e-commerce services to grow online businesses for such companies as Rue La La, Macy’s and PUMA.
