Print Edition StoriesTrue Fit Corp., a Woburn clothing and shoe e-commerce site operating as My True Fit, has raised $4.36 million of a planned $4.5 million equity funding round.
The financing, reported in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, brought on to the board Dorothy Mattison, senior managing director of Guggenheim Partners LLC.
According to the My True Fit website, the company’s True Fit software helps online shoppers find shoes and clothing online that fit both personal style and body type.
True Fit was co-founded in 2005 by Romney Evans and Jessica Arrendondo. Evans, who served as CEO and CMO from its launch to August 2009, now holds the vice president of product role at the company. He previously founded a Salt Lake City, Utah-based web development firm, Digital Media Consulting LLC. Arrendondo, who previously served as president of True Fit from its founding until October 2009, now serves as vice president of operations of the company.
The company is led by CEO William Adler, who has held the position since August 2009. Previously he worked as entrepreneur-in-residence and consultant at Battery Ventures of Waltham. Prior to that, he served as head of direct-to-consumer business for Timberland Co.
The company previously raised $2.5 million in an equity financing round in April.
