Mobile app startup Floop finds early funding

Floop Inc., developer of a social opinion mobile application, has taken in $325,000 of a planned $500,000 financing of combined debt, securities and options, according to a regulatory filing.

Founded in 2010 and located in Woodbridge, Conn., the company gives users the ability to provide feedback and opinions in real-time, via mobile devices, and see those of friends as well; In return, the company gets data analysis of feedback, according to the company’s profile on the Connecticut Innovations website

Floop is headed up by serial entrepreneur Richard Schultz, whose LinkedIn profile lists his CEO tenure there from as early as November 2009. Schultz previously served as CEO of REvolution Computing and Metaserver Inc.
