T-Mobile USA has appointed John Diefenbach as the first vice president and general manager for the area, responsible for sales across all T-Mobile retail properties, customer growth and loyalty efforts. Diefenbach’s region consists of all six states of New England, and he will be based at T-Mobile’s Newton office. Diefenbach has more than 14 years of sales and field work for T-Mobile, Sprint Nextel and Let’s Talk Cellular Wireless. Most recently, he was T-Mobile’s indirect sales channel director for New England and upstate New York. In the role, Diefenbach led T-Mobile’s “Top 10” market effort in Boston and executed the launch of a number of national retail accounts. Prior to joining T-Mobile, Diefenbach served in a number of leadership roles with Sprint Nextel, the most recent of which was area vice president of New England. He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Montclair State University.

Networking
Worcester’s Barry Communications has named Amanda Halperin to the position of customer support coordinator. Her professional background includes several years of customer service and sales support, professional training and project management. Most recently, she served as service catalog editor for TJX Corp. in Framingham, and as senior customer service specialist at Sepracor Inc. in Marlborough. Earlier in her career, Halperin was a system administrator for U.S. Rep. Ted Weiss (D-NY) in his Washington, D.C. office. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Gannon University.

Hardware
Steve Beck has been named chief commercial officer for ice cream technology company MooBella Inc. Beck will create and direct commercial and operational strategies for MooBella’s foodservice ice cream machines. Most recently, Beck served as senior vice president of sales at The Manitowoc Co. Prior to that position, Beck served as president, commercial business development at Enodis Corp. Other positions for Beck have included senior vice president of sales at Polar Corp., and a long stint as vice president, sales and marketing at PepsiCola Co.

Med devices
PreCision Dermatology Inc., a Cumberland, R.I., company developing and commercializing novel, prescription and over-the-counter products for improving skin health, has named health-care industry veteran William W. Crouse to its board of directors. Crouse brings to PreCision more than 40 years of experience in venture capital investing and health-care industry company management. He is a general partner and former managing director of HealthCare Ventures. From 1987 to 1993, Crouse served as worldwide president of Ortho Diagnostic Systems, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson that manufactures diagnostic tests for hospitals, and as vice president of Johnson & Johnson International. Before joining J&J, he led international operations and worldwide commercial development activities as division director at DuPont Pharmaceuticals Co. Prior to joining DuPont, he served as president of Revlon Health Care Group’s companies in Latin America, Canada, and Asia/Pacific. He also held numerous management positions at pharmaceutical company, E.R. Squibb & Sons.

Holmed Corp. has named Frank H Slauenwhite III as the director of engineering. Slauenwhite has spent more than 20 years understanding and overcoming the challenges of successful product introductions. Specifically, he has held various positions in research, product design, and development and engineering and has experience in a diverse set of industries including, medical devices, military and aerospace, consumer products, and micro-fluidics. At Holmed, Slauenwhite is leading the engineering services Department.

CB Richard Ellis/New England, a joint venture partner with CB Richard Ellis, has named three new partners of the company; Jason P. Levendusky, Taidgh H. McClory and Patrick R. Mulready. Levendusky is a senior member of the Massachusetts Suburban Brokerage team. He joined CBRE/NE in 2001 to focus on the sale and leasing of office, R&D and industrial property in Boston’s northern submarkets. Prior to joining CBRE/NE, Levendusky was regional director for WP Commercial. Prior to his tenure at WP Commercial, he was affiliated with the Nordblom Company/Nordic Properties. McClory is senior vice president, director of marketing and client services, responsible for managing the marketing, research and client services functions at CBRE/NE. He joined CBRE/NE in 2003 as an associate of the Downtown Boston brokerage team and was promoted to vice president of client services in 2006. Prior to joining CBRE/NE, McClory began his career in the advertising and marketing industry for five years with a focus on brand planning and marketing research. Mulready began his career at CBRE/NE in 1996 as an appraiser, specializing in the valuation of office properties throughout Greater Hartford. He transferred to the Hartford brokerage staff in 1998 to focus on the sale of investment properties.

Internet
Mzinga Inc. of Waltham has announced Ira Cohen as vice president, channel revenue. Most recently, Cohen served as an independent consultant for Pegasystems, a provider of business process management where he defined opportunities to increase revenue through indirect channels. Prior to Pegasystems, he was vice president of business and corporate  development for WebLayers, launching a strategic channels program that included partnerships with IBM, Hewlett-Packard and Oracle. Cohen was also vice president, channels and strategic partnerships at Segue Software. Earlier in his career, he was a co-founder of Copley Systems Corp., CEO of Aternity Software and chief operating officer at Datatrend Services and Aztec Technology  Partners.

Software
Waltham-based dynaTrace Software has hired Lisa Landa as its new chief marketing officer. Landa has 25 years of experience in marketing communications and brand building for a wide range of technology companies, from private startups to public multi-national corporations. Prior to joining dynaTrace, she served as vice president of marketing at Arbor Networks. Earlier in her career, Landa served as vice president of corporate marketing at RSA Security. Prior to RSA Security, she held marketing and public relations management positions at AT&T, Ziff-Davis Interactive and Lotus Development Corp. Lisa holds a bachelor’s degree in art and English from Williams College.

Everyday Solutions Inc. of Acton has named Woody Fitzmaurice on the companys’ sales team. In his role as business development executive, Fitzmaurice will be responsible for driving new business within selected accounts and geographies in North America. For the three years prior to joining ESI, Fitzmaurice held various executive and sales positions at Synovia Corp., a school transportation solutions provider based in Indianapolis. He is a domain expert in school transportation with over 30 years of experience, in roles such as director of transportation for the Chicago Public Schools, Cincinnati Public Schools, North Kansas City School District and as state director of pupil transportation for the State of Missouri.

Health-care IT
Newton-based Recombinant Data Corp. has expanded the company’s executive leadership team with the addition of David Hardison as managing director of health sciences, and Gregg Capone as managing director of services. Prior to joining Recombinant, Hardison served as vice president and chief health scientist at SAIC. In the 1980s he served as assistant professor at the Owen School of Management at Vanderbilt University, and prior to that was a senior scientist at Eli Lilly & Co. Capone served as senior director of account management at NaviNet, and prior to that held a number of positions there when NaviNet was known as NaviMedix Inc.
