Enobia Pharma moving U.S. HQ to new Cambridge site

By Michelle Lang

Enobia Pharma Inc., a Montreal life sciences firm focused on treating genetic bone disorders, is relocating its U.S. headquarters in Cambridge to the site previously occupied by Verenium Corp., a company representative confirmed today.

The company already had a presence renting office space in Cambridge, but the new U.S. headquarters will sublet the 21,000 square-foot site from Verenium Corp. at 55 Cambridge Parkway, Enobia employee Joe DiMattia said. Verenium closed its Cambridge office at the end of March.

Enobia Pharma has its lead product, ENB-0040, in Phase 2 clinical studies. The product is an enzyme replacement therapy targeting bone, and specifically aimed at treating hypophosphatasia, a rare and potentially fatal inherited metabolic bone disease.

Enobia’s Cambridge site will continue to host clinical and regulatory work, in addition to a few administrative posts. The company currently lists seven positions on its website that it’s hiring for in Cambridge.
