UTest, Mozilla partner on open-source test case management

By Michelle Lang

Software testing firm uTest Inc. is teaming up with Mozilla to create a test case management system that will aid startups and smaller companies.

Though the system is yet to be built, users can expect a free download of the open source system from Mozilla, according to a news release from Southborough-based uTest. The test case management system, planned for a later 2011 launch, will also have a hosted system integrated with both its testing platform and its testing community.

Founded in 2007, uTest counts Microsoft, AOL, Intuit and Groupon among its customers. The company announced last month that it had made several executive changes, appointing Ann Brady as CFO, Fumi Matsumoto as chief technology officer and Matt Johnston as chief marketing officer.
