Marty Jones to head MassDevelopment

By Ann Kenda, Boston Business Journal

Real estate executive Marty Jones has been named as the new president and CEO of MassDevelopment. She will take over for Robert Culver, who announced his resignation in late December after seven years at the helm.

Officials reported that Jones will be paid a $215,000 annual salary, a savings from Culver’s $299,000 salary. The Patrick administration is making an effort to reduce executive salaries at quasi-public agencies.

Jones has experience as president of Corcoran Jennison Companies, a Boston company with properties in 15 states. She graduated from Brown University with a degree in urban studies.
