
Caliper Life Sciences Inc. has partnered with Seegene Inc. to combine the two companies’ respective technologies in developing molecular diagnostic products. No financial terms of the partnership were disclosed.
Hopkinton-based Caliper develops the LabChip Dx platform, which has diagnostic identification, scoring and reporting software.
Seegene, a molecular diagnostics firm based in South Korea, develops SeePlex multiplex diagnostic assays.
The two companies said in a news release that they plan to co-market the Caliper LabChip Dx platform and Seegene’s line of diagnostic assays.
Last month, Caliper (Nasdaq: CALP) said it would pay $20 million to acquire Cambridge Research & Instrumentation Inc. (CRi), a developer of optical imaging systems.
