Marketing software startup Offerpop Corp. raised a $1.3 million round of financing that closed in late November, according to a recent email from co-founder and chief marketing officer Allen Bonde.
Offerpop, which is headquartered in New York with a Massachusetts office in Franklin, develops social media marketing tools for businesses conducting online promotions.
Bonde emailed that the financing included investment from Windcrest Partners, CommonAngels managing director Chris Sheehan and Mesco Ltd. The company plans to use the funding to hire sales and product development staff and to support the launch of its new Facebook marketing platform, Bonde said.
Offerpop co-founder and CEO Wendell Lansford previously served as senior vice president of registry software company Systinet, which was acquired by Mercury Interactive. He formerly founded Sitebridge Corp., a developer of real-time customer service software, with Offerpop co-founders Mark Cooper and Prakash Mishra.
