EveryScape, Microsoft Bing partner in 3-D restaurant tour index
By Galen Moore
Newton startup EveryScape has inked a deal with the search engine Bing, according to a press release Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT) issued this morning.
In the deal, EveryScape’s 3-D tours of restaurant interiors will be indexed in Bing search results. It’s not the first major partnership for fast-growing EveryScape. In August, news leaked that the company had signed a deal with AT&T (NYSE: T) to provide a similar service for Yellowpages.com listings, and founder Mok Oh told Mass High Tech the company plans to double in size. In February, EveryScape took a $6 million VC round, led by a strategic investor, Korea-based telco SK Telecom America (NYSE: SKM).
The company is backed by Dace Ventures, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Draper Fisher New England, Draper Atlantic and LaunchPad Venture Group, and has raised at least $17 million to date. With 50 employees and a new headquarters in Newton, EveryScape plans to double in size.
