Raytheon promotes Ernst to vice president, investor relations
By Rodney Brown
Waltham-based defense titan Raytheon Co. has named Todd Ernst as vice president, investor relations. Ernst most recently held the position of director, competitive assessment for corporate strategy at Raytheon.
Ernst joined Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) in Jan., 2010 from Neuberger Berman, a division of Lehman Brothers Co., where he was a senior research analyst. He replaces Marc Kaplan, who has moved to Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS), where he will lead strategic planning and assessment for the business.
Ernst holds a bachelor’s degree from DePauw University and earned an MBA in 1997 from the University of Michigan School of Business.
Last week Raytheon reported it had won a $240 million contract to produce components of the Aegis weapons system for naval destroyers. Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems, the company’s Tewksbury-based arm, will provide the production, engineering and support services for the components, which will be used by four ship sets in the Arleigh Burke class of destroyers.
In October, Raytheon acquired Reston, Va.-based Technology Associates Inc. for an undisclosed price. At the time, Raytheon said the deal would not materially impact earnings per share for the fourth quarter or full year 2010.
