Billerica-based remote help desk company PlumChoice Inc. has purchased Everon Technology Services, a Colorado-based IT managed service provider, for an undisclosed amount.
Operating facilities in Los Angeles and Boston, as well Broomfield, Colo., Everon targets businesses of 50 employees or less with a suite of IT management and support services. PlumChoice gets to grow its coverage of small business technology services with the acquisition of Everon, officials said.
Mike Cooch, president and founder of Everon, will join PlumChoice as a member of the executive team, taking on the role of vice president/general manager, business services.
In December of 2009, PlumChoice took in new financing coming in the form of $10 million in debt funding from Silicon Valley Bank. That added to the $14.7 million equity funding the Billerica company closed in September. PlumChoice has brought in a total of about $30 million. Later that month, the company tapped Chanchal Samanta, a former executive at PatientKeeper, as CTO, a newly created position for the company.
With about 700 employees, PlumChoice provides outsourced support for software and technology such as PCs, peripherals, digital cameras and smart phones.
