Zorap lands funding for its Internet video chat tech

Zorap Inc. has raised $851,000 in new equity financing, the Falmouth, Maine-based Internet video chat startup reported in a regulatory filing this morning.

Founded in 2007 by Barry Spencer, a former Lotus Development engineer, and Jeremy Egenberger, Zorap publishes an online video chat room designed to streamline sharing of media including images, video and music.

The latest round brings Zorap investors to a total of at least $2.9 million in the company. Zorap raised at least $1.4 million in 2009.
