Cloud consultant Acumen Solutions opens Boston office
By Rodney H. Brown
Acumen Solutions Inc., a Virginia-based technology consulting firm, has opened a Boston office in conjunction with landing a contract with the City of Boston.
The city’s Department of Neighborhood Development has contracted Acumen to set up a Salesforce implementation for its Office of Business Development as a cloud computing play. No financial details of the contract were released.
According to the press release from Acumen:
The OBD will link its newly developed Salesforce.com instance with that of Boston Main Streets and the Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA) who currently use this platform internally. The OBD is also partnering with other city agencies to launch a new online portal for businesses in Boston, and plans to use Salesforce.com as the support system for this portal. The mayor’s office is running an application development contest for citizens to help improve municipal government where they will use Salesforce.com to track the submissions.
“Boston is a great city and we are proud to be opening a Boston office, which will strengthen support for our client base in the New England area,” said David Joubran, CEO of Acumen Solutions. “Boston has many Global 1000 enterprises in sectors that we serve such as financial services, insurance, health care, government, technology and education. In addition to creating jobs, Acumen Solutions will provide a breadth of business strategy and technology solutions for those large enterprises in New England who are leading the way in more effective IT delivery.”
