Yottaa rounds up $4M first round funding

Yottaa Inc. has raised $4 million in a Series A round of venture capital financing for a freemium performance testing and monitoring software for Internet applications and websites. Backers include General Catalyst Partners of Cambridge, Stata Venture Partners of Needham, and Cambridge West Ventures of Redwood City, Calif.

Stata Venture Partners is a private equity fund founded by Analog Devices Inc. (NYSE: ADI) founder and chairman Ray Stata, who is Yottaa’s board chairman.

Yottaa, co-founded in 2009 by Burlington-based Nexaweb Technologies Inc. founder and chairman Coach Wei, also announced the launch of its first product, called Yottaa Insight, in a press release today. The product is available for free and is designed to help users monitor and improve site performance. The company is located in Cambridge.
