Stata, Gordon head up 2010 MHT All-Stars

By Mass High Tech staff

Electronics pioneers Ray Stata, founder of Analog Devices Inc., and Bernard M. Gordon, founder of Analogic Corp., are the 2010 recipients of the Mass High Tech Distinguished Achievement Awards and will be honored along with 14 other MHT All-Stars being announced today.

Stata and Gordon are being recognized for their work in building their companies, as well as for their leadership in the tech sector and their efforts to encourage young entrepreneurs through close partnerships with area colleges and universities. The 2010 Distinguished Achievement Award winners join past honorees Gururaj “Desh” Deshpande, Robert Metcalfe and Rodney Brooks as recipients of the special award.

The 15th Annual MHT All-Stars Awards recognize leaders in a range of New England’s technology and innovation sectors. Honorees were selected from more than 200 nominations, and represent electronics, software, community organizations, biotechnology, medical devices, the Internet, communications, mobile, energy, storage and health IT.

“Technology companies continue to serve as building blocks for the New England economy, and these All-Stars have led the way in helping to grow not only their own organizations but in leading the way out of the recession for all of us,” said Mass High Tech publisher and editor Douglas Banks.

The honorees will be profiled in the Oct. 27 issue of Mass High Tech and will be recognized at an evening awards event on Oct. 28 at the Interncontinental Hotel in Boston.

Among the honorees is Kiki Mills, recognized for her years of work in building up the creative economy sector organization MITX. Mills was informed of her selection just days before she announced plans to move to California where she will marry a local ad executive.
