Eggers leaving Spreadshirt
By Mass High Tech staff
Spreadshirt CEO Jana Eggers plans to step down, she announced on the company’s blog this morning.
Spreadshirt, founded in Germany, maintains dual headquarters in Boston and Leipzig. Eggers, formerly an Intuit executive, has been CEO since 2006. In her blog post, Eggers said the company will begin seeking a successor but did not say why she is leaving, or what she plans to do next.
She could not be reached for comment Tuesday afternoon. However, in a later post on Twitter, she said the company plans to maintain its Boston presence.
Spreadshirt is an international online company that enables people to customize personal apparel, and lets consumers and organizations establish free online shops to sell their creations.
Eggers was named a Mass High Tech Woman to Watch in 2004 when she was general manager of QuickBase and Innovation Lab at Intuit Inc.
