Chicago-based private equity firm Water Street Healthcare Partners announced today that it has acquired Stoughton-based Medical Specialties Distributors LLC, which provides infusion products, supplies, biomedical services and technology solutions to the home infusion therapy market.

The companies didn’t disclose financial terms were disclosed. Medical Specialties had been owned by MBF Healthcare Partners of Coral Gables, Fla.

Medical Specialties employs more than 250 people, and operates eight fulfillment and service centers across the country. Jim Beck, president and CEO of MSD, and the current management team will remain with the company.
