

Extreme Reach Inc., a Needham-based video advertising distribution provider, has closed a $9 million Series B funding round. The financing – $7 million in equity and $2 million in term debt – was led by Village Ventures, with additional financial support from Greycroft Partners and Long River Ventures.
The company received an unspecified amount of funding in its Series A round last July, when the same investors backed the round, with Greycroft Partners leading.
Extreme Reach makes an all-software platform for advertisers and agencies to deliver, manage and track their commercials, whether they’re delivered via television, web or mobile video. It has a digital network of 12,500 media properties, as well as clients consisting of hundreds of ad agencies, production companies and brand names.
Extreme Reach was founded in 2008 by four former executives of FastChannel Inc. (Nasdaq: DGIT). Both companies deliver video content for TV, cable and online ad networks.
