Sonus removes interim tag from CFO Pastore
By Mass High Tech staff
Networking company Sonus Networks Inc. of Westford has named Wayne Pastore as senior vice president and chief financial officer.
Pastore had served as interim CFO since February when his predecessor as CFO, Richard Gaynor, left to take on the same position with GT Solar International Inc. Pastore had previously served as Sonus’ vice president for finance, corporate controller and chief accounting officer since May 2008.
“Wayne has made numerous contributions to Sonus, including strengthening our internal controls, building a strong finance organization, improving our closing processes, reducing costs and enhancing the quality of our balance sheet,” said Sonus CEO Richard Nottenburg.
Pastore, 45, had been director of financial planning and analysis of Sycamore Networks Inc. before joining Sonus, which develops Internet Protocol networking products.
In August, Sonus reported that it had cut staff levels by another 93 positions, capping off its restructuring effort that began at the start of 2009, resulting in a total of 243 jobs eliminated.
