Software
Wakefield’s Panviva Inc. has named Jack Colopy as the corporation’s chief operating officer. Most recently Colopy was the chief information officer at Accent, responsible for the company’s IT organization. Prior to that, he was the CIO at Harte-Hanks Shoppers Inc., a $440 million division of the publicly-traded Harte-Hanks. Before his position at Harte-Hanks, Colopy served concurrent directorships of management information systems for the McDonnell Douglas Computers Systems and Field Service Companies. Colopy earned his bachelor of science degree from the California State University.

Healthcare IT

PHT Corp., a Boston maker of electronic patient reported outcome software, has promoted Nick Randazzo to vice president of sales. Randazzo joined PHT in 2000 and was the company’s leading account executive for several years. In 2005, he took on a leadership role within the PHT sales organization, which rapidly included management of the entire global sales team. Prior to joining PHT, Randazzo was a top performer in sales positions at Wyeth and CR Bard. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut.

Ceiba Solutions, a Cambridge software development and IT services company, has added Andy Sontag as vice president of life science business development. Prior to joining Ceiba, he was senior vice president of life sciences for Court Square Group, a life sciences IT consulting company. Prior to that, he was the vice president of global business operations for clinical sciences at Boston Scientific with overall responsibility for business and operations in Boston Scientific’s clinical, regulatory and preclinical areas.  He also worked at AstraZeneca for more than 14 years.

Hardware
Industry veteran Frank White has joined ZeeVee Inc. of Littleton as director of business development. Prior to joining ZeeVee, White was a principal and vice president of sales and marketing for Multiplex Technology between 1983-1998. During his 15-year tenure at Multiplex, White almost single-handedly created the ChannelPlus brand. Following ChannelPlus, White moved on to AMX as vice president of sales and marketing. He went on to form Custom Metrics in 2000, a consulting firm. White was also instrumental in the creation, growth, and expansion of CEDIA, serving six years on the board of directors.

Internet
Edward Herdiech has been named vice president of finance at Woburn-based LogMeIn. He was previously corporate controller for LogMeIn, a position he held since joining LogMeIn in 2006. As vice president of finance, Herdiech is responsible for LogMeIn’s worldwide accounting operations, SEC/internal reporting, and tax and treasury functions. Before joining LogMeIn, Herdiech was finance director at Parametric Technology Corp.

Pharmaceuticals
Lexington’s Cubist Pharmaceuticals Inc. has appointed Leon (Lonnie) Moulder Jr. to its board of directors. Most recently, Moulder served as vice chairman, president and CEO of Abraxis BioScience Inc. from April 2009 to January 2010. Previously, Moulder served as vice chairman of Eisai Corp. of North America from January 2008 until January 2009, after Eisai acquired MGI Pharma Inc., where he had served consecutively as executive vice president, president and chief operating officer, and president and CEO from September 1999 to January 2008. Prior to joining MGI Pharma, from October 1997 to September 1999, Moulder was vice president, business development and commercial affairs and a member of the initial management team at Eligix Inc.

Cambridge’s Alnara Pharmaceuticals Inc. has appointed Thomas Rowland to the position of vice president of commercial development. Rowland brings to Alnara significant pharmaceutical experience in the areas of marketing, sales and commercial operations. He served as vice president of the gastroenterology and women’s health business unit at Solvay Pharmaceuticals Inc. Rowland’s initial work in the gastroenterology and pancreatic enzyme therapeutic area started when he joined Scandipharm Inc. as director of marketing. Prior to joining Alnara, Rowland was president, chief executive officer and director of Ventrus Biosciences, a privately held specialty pharmaceutical company focused on the late-stage development and commercialization of gastrointestinal products in areas of unmet need. Rowland will continue to serve on the board for Ventrus.

Alternative energy
Evergreen Solar Inc. has appointed Scott Gish to the position of vice president of sales and marketing. Prior to joining Marlborough’s Evergreen Solar, Gish was vice president of global sales and business development for Photronics Inc. in Brookfield, Conn. He joined the company in December of 2005. In addition to his executive staff position at Photronics, he has held senior sales and marketing roles at Veeco Instruments, Axcelis Technologies and Schlumberger Technologies.

Security
Bedford surveillance technology firm VideoIQ Inc. has added Mark Gally to its corporate team as vice president of marketing. Gally has held senior positions at Siebel Systems, MicroStrategy, and most recently Merced Systems, where he was marketing director from 2004 to 2009. Gally began his career as an engineer for software systems company CH2M Hill.

Services
Seidler Bernstein Inc., a Cambridge-based marketing communications agency specializing in health care and life sciences technologies, has promoted Jennifer Nichols to senior account supervisor, Leslie Loock from project manager to account manager and Kristina Lang from traffic manager to assistant account manager. Nichols joined Seidler Bernstein from HealthGate Data Corp., where she was director of implementation and account management. Prior to HealthGate, Nichols was a public health and social marketing consultant at Policy Studies Inc. Prior to joining Seidler Bernstein, Loock worked in residential brokerage for Coldwell Banker and in retail for Trappings. Before joining the agency, Lang was an administrator at Tolerx Inc. and a special events manager at Brigham’s Ice Cream. She also worked in marketing at Schawbel Corp.

McCarter & English has added Jonathan Guest as a partner in the Boston office’s corporate, securities and financial institutions group. He joins the firm from Greenberg Traurig, where he was a shareholder and formerly head of its corporate and securities department in Boston. Guest concentrates his practice in corporate and securities law including debt and equity finance (public and private offerings including shelf regulations, registered direct offerings, PIPEs and rights offerings), corporate governance (Sarbanes-Oxley compliance), and domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. He has also advised early-stage companies concerning matters of entity selection, capital structure, “angel” and venture capital finance, secured loans, executive compensation, intellectual property protection, and technology licensing.

Ionia Corp., a Boston-based enterprise architecture consulting firm, has hired Dennis Palmer as it’s newest senior integration consultant. Palmer brings to the Ionia team knowledge and expertise implementing projects utilizing products such as Cast Iron, Biz Talk, and .NET for internationally known retail and consumer brands. With a decade of experience, he has been a system integration and web application developer for a number of well-known companies, including Yankee Candle, Retail Brand Alliance, Peah Productions, Broadrelay, Kodiak Group, and General Dynamics.
