SatCon appoints Egenera vet Peck as CFO

Power management company SatCon Technology Corp. has named Donald Peck as its new chief financial officer.

Peck joins the Boston-based company having previously served as executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer at data center virtualization company Egenera Inc. Prior to that, he worked as executive vice president and CFO of First Marblehead Corp., where he led the company through its initial public offering. Peck held earlier roles at Zebord, MarketMac and Centennial Technologies.

Peck earned a Juris Doctor from Cornell University Law School and a B.S. in business administration from the University of Rhode Island.

As part of the hiring package, Peck has received options to buy up to one million shares of SatCon common stock at today’s closing price, with the options vesting over four years.
