Biotech consulting firm Talaris Advisors LLC of Hopkinton has hired Derek H. Lee as chief financial and corporate development officer.

Lee joins Talaris from SV Life Sciences, a healthcare venture capital firm with commitments of approximately $1.5 billion. He directed strategic financial and investment planning in connection with 55 portfolio therapeutics, medical device and healthcare services companies.

Talaris CEO Mark J. Pykett said Lee’s ability to “conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses, identify key risks and opportunities in complex financial and valuation models and facilitate negotiations will give us the corporate vantage point our valued clients and investors need.”
