Raytheon Co. reports it has promoted William Kiczuk to chief technology officer.
As CTO, Kiczuk will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s technology and research strategy, Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) said. Kiczuk will report to Mark Russell, Raytheon’s vice president of engineering, technology and mission assurance. Kiczuk will also represent the company on outside councils regarding technology and the defense industry.
Kiczuk has worked for Waltham-based Raytheon for about 30 years and comes to the role from Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems, where he had served as technical director and director for strategic architectures since 2003. Prior to that, he worked for the Waltham-based defense contractor’s Network Centric Systems unit, where he worked on the Future Combat Systems and Integrated Land Combat System Development projects.
Last week, Raytheon landed a deal for $886 million from the U.S. Air Force to develop technology to improve the accuracy of GPS satellite information.
