Fall River-based Millstone Medical Outsourcing has hired John F. Ferris to be director of manufacturing engineering, taking responsibility for enhancing the company’s operations, including bringing in new technology and automation.

Millstone provides outsourcing services to medical device companies and has facilities in Fall River and Memphis. The company offers advanced inspection, clean room packaging, loaner kit processing, and distribution services to medical and dental device manufacturers.

Ferris brings over 25 years of manufacturing and engineering experience, including over 15 years in operational and engineering positions at DePuy and other prominent companies. Prior to joining Millstone he served as manager of manufacturing engineering for Flexcon Industries.
