Iron Mountain Inc. has appointed Hasbro Inc. board chairman Alfred J. Verrecchia as its 11th member of the board of directors.

Verrecchia, a career-long Hasbro veteran, previously served as CEO of the Pawtucket, R.I.-based toy and game maker from 2003 through 2008. He started working for the company as a staff accountant. Verrecchia also serves as an independent director of FGX International Holdings and has served on the board for CVS Caremark as well.

Verrecchia earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Rhode Island.

Founded in 1951, Iron Mountain (NYSE: IRM) is a data protection and storage company based in Boston. The company announced last week that it would be doling out cash dividends to its stockholders for the first time in the company’s history, under a new program that will begin April 15. At the same time, the company said it will be buying back $150 million worth of its own common stock.
