NaviSite promotes Borcherding to president

By Mass High Tech staff

NaviSite Inc., an Andover-based provider of cloud computing technology services, has named R. Brooks Borcherding as president of the company.

Borcherding was promoted from previous roles with the company as senior vice president of sales and chief revenue officer. In his current position as president, he will be responsible for leading NaviSite’s sales, marketing, operations, service delivery, business planning and daily operations.

Prior to joining NaviSite, Borcherding led strategy, planning, business development and sales operations for the Enterprise East division of Cisco Systems, according to the NaviSite website. He also worked previously for Avaya, Lucent and AT&T.

Founded in 1996, NaviSite (Nasdaq: NAVI) announced last month that it had sold its Lawson/Kronos application services business to Velocity Technology Solutions in New York for $56 million in cash.
