Casa Systems and uReach land at River Place
Richards Barry Joyce & Partners LLC negotiated two new leases on behalf of CrossHarbor Capital Partners at River Place at I-93, located in Andover. The leases, which total 29,092 square feet, were signed with Casa Systems Inc. and uReach Technologies Inc. Casa Systems, a provider of cable edge technology, leased 16,086 square feet on the building’s first floor. The company is relocating its corporate headquarters from 10 New England Business Center in Andover. Casa Systems was represented in the transaction by NAI Hunneman. UReach Technologies, which provides converged communications solutions for wireless, wireline and broadband carriers, leased 13,006 square feet, also on the building’s first floor. The company is relocating from 200 Bulfinch Drive in Andover. UReach was represented by Robert Byrne, assistant vice president, of Richards Barry Joyce & Partners. Brian McKenzie and Robert Byrne of Richards Barry Joyce & Partners represented CrossHarbor Capital Partners in the leases.
7Solar Technologies lands at Cummings Park in Woburn
7Solar Technologies Inc. has leased more than 8,000 square feet of office and light manufacturing space at 92 Cummings Park in Woburn. The clean energy startup is developing a photovoltaic and solar thermal module that aims to optimize electricity and hot water production while minimizing costs. Leasing officer Mike Truesdale worked with David Bergeron, vice president of T3 Advisors, to meet 7Solar’s space needs.
Hardware
Continuum has designs on new space in Newton
Design consultancy Design Continuum Inc. subleased 18,037 square feet of office space 1210 Washington St. in Newton from Euro-Pro. Continuum has developed products including the Swiffer and the Reebok Pump, and has done much of its work in the medical device field over the past 25 years. One of Continuum’s most recognizable designs is the XO laptop, designed for the nonprofit One Laptop Per Child, which won an IDEA award in 2006 after it was unveiled by former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan. Dan Krysiak and Jack Kerrigan of Grubb & Ellis Co. represented the lessee in the transaction. Eric Solem of Landmark Real Estate Advisors represented Euro-Pro. Grubb & Ellis (NYSE: GBE) is a real estate services and investment firm.
Robotics
Cardiorobotics puts down roots in Raynham
FHO Partners has helped land a new, 14,500-square-foot lease for Cardiorobotics Inc. at 475 Paramount Drive in Raynham. The Rhode Island-based medical device startup chose to open a Massachusetts office to capitalize on the state’s cluster of technology firms and available intellectual capital. Partner Sean Teague and senior associate Leeanne Rizzo of FHO Partners represented Cardiorobotics in the transaction, and Mark Donahue of Donahue & Associates represented the landlord of 475 Paramount Drive. Cardiorobotics is developing snake robot technologies for use in a wide range of surgical and interventional applications. The company employs 13 people at its Technology & Research Center in Pittsburgh, and its business and product development facility in Newport, R.I.

Thermo Fisher expands in Wilmington, subleases in Milford
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. extended and expanded its lease of 45,205 square feet at 200 Research Drive in Wilmington from Wakefield Investment Inc. Steve Cook, Jack Kerrigan and Hank Amabile of Grubb & Ellis Co. represented the lessee in the transaction. Matt Adams of Cushman & Wakefield represented the lessor. Also, PCE Technology Inc. subleased 18,365 square feet of industrial/research and development/flex space at 450 Fortune Blvd. in Milford from Thermo Fisher Scientific. Hank Amabile, John Coakley, Jack Kerrigan and Steve Cook of Grubb & Ellis represented the lessor in the transaction. Hossein Mobtaker of Centre Realty Group represented the lessee.
