Nova Analytics acquired by ITT

ITT Corp. announced today it has agreed to acquire Nova Analytics Corp., a venture-backed Woburn company making instruments and sensors for electrochemical measurement. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

ITT (NYSE: ITT) is a White Plains, N.Y.-based company providing products for a variety of industries, including water and wastewater transport and treatment company. It announced the deal in a press release today. The deal is expected to close within the quarter, pending regulatory approval, the company said.

Nova Analytics has about 725 global employees and brought in $135 million in revenue in 2009, according to ITT’s press release. The company’s brands include WTW, SI Analytics, Global Water and Aanderaa.

Investors in Nova include Battery Ventures, Commonwealth Capital Ventures and Ascent Venture Partners.
