Joule Biotechnologies Inc.: Founded in 2007, Joule is developing technology incorporating genome-engineered organisms to capture sunlight and convert waste CO2 directly into renewable fuels and chemicals. The company is based in Cambridge.
Plummelo Inc.: Cambridge-based Plummelo has developed a web browser plugin to help users organize recipes. The company was founded in 2008.
The Beer Genome: Founded in 2009, the Beer Genome has developed a mobile app for beer drinkers to keep track of and evaluate beers they’ve tried. The company is based in Medford.
