Custom clothing design website maker Fashion Playtes Inc. has extended its Series A venture round to a hoped-for $2 million, while adding the Concord-based Golden Seeds LLC angel group as a new investor.
The financing was first reported in a regulatory filing posted by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Thursday. In August, the Salem-based company announced its Series A had closed at $1.5 million. Documents filed Thursday indicate the company now has $1.7 million in hand — part of a planned $2 million round. Fashion Playtes founder and CEO Sarah McIlroy confirmed that Golden Seeds has joined a list of investors that includes New Atlantic Ventures and LaunchCapital, both based in Cambridge.
The filing did not indicate any new additions to Fashion Playtes’ board of directors.
The company runs fashionplaytes.com, a website aimed at young girls and their parents, where users can design their own clothing, then purchase their own designs. The company announced its first funding in August, at $1.5 million.
Golden Seeds seeks to invest in startups with women among the founding executives.
