Mzinga relocates to Waltham, plans for growth

By Galen Moore

Mzinga Inc. has moved its headquarters from Burlington to Waltham. The move will accommodate its hiring plans for 2010, the company said.

Social enterprise software maker Mzinga, which currently employs about 180 people, said its new digs at 230 Third Ave. are 50 percent larger than its former Burlington facility. The company plans to increase its headcount by approximately 15 to 20 percent, a spokeswoman said.

Founded in 2007 with the merger of Woburn-based Shared Insights US LLC and Pennsylvania’s KnowledgePlanet Inc., Mzinga has so far taken in $42.5 million in venture capital from investors including Acadia Wood Partners, BlueCrest Partners and W Capital Partners.
