Andrews leaves Atlas Venture for Advanced Electron Beams
By Jackie Noblett
Atlas Venture partner Jeff Andrews is leaving the Boston venture capital firm for a role at industrial energy efficiency firm Advanced Electron Beams.
Andrews, a 10-year veteran of Atlas, will be vice president of strategy and business development for Wilmington-based AEB. He will oversee corporate partnerships and new business opportunities for the maker of electron beam emitters used in various industrial applications including sterilization and coating.
“Jeff is an ideal addition to our team right now and comes in with experience developing businesses in new markets, a track record of successful execution, and a passion for clean technology — he will be invaluable to the process of developing the strategic partnerships we need to grow,” said Advanced Electron Beams CEO Mitch Tyson in a statement.
While Andrews’ portfolio at Atlas included a range of technology firms, he is well known in the clean tech space. He served as a clean energy policy advisor for former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, is co-chair of the innovation task force for the New England Clean Energy Council and has served on the board of directors of Wilmington fuel cell developer Lilliputian Systems Inc.
