Oblicore bought by CA

Oblicore Inc., a venture capital–backed service-level management software provider, has been acquired by CA Inc., a New York IT management software company.

Oblicore is a privately held company in Waltham that has pulled in about $20 million in venture capital funds from backers like Concord Ventures, JVP, Shrem Fudim Kelner Technologies, Platinum-Neurone Ventures and Technoplast Technologies. The company helps other firms design, monitor and manage IT service agreements. Its customers include AT&T, Cable & Wireless, ING, Siemens Medical Solutions, T-Systems and British Telecom.

Oblicore has been a longtime partner with CA, integrating with its systems including CA Spectrum Infrastructure Manager, CA Wily Introscope, CA Service Desk Manager, CA eHealth and CA Clarity PPM.

No financial terms of the acquisition deal were disclosed.
