Life Image raises $2M

By Mass High Tech staff

Newton-based medical imaging applications startup Life Image Inc. has pulled in $2 million in financing, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company develops web-based applications and services to ease acces to patients’ medical-imaging history. Its universal inbox designs for storing the images are intended to be hosted either on physicians’ own networks or in the cloud, easing the file-sharing aspect.

No specific investors were listed in the filing in connection with the funding. However, the company includes individuals from Long River Ventures and Partners Innovation Fund, as well as Massachusetts Technology Development and EMC Corp. on its board of directors.

Life Image previously raised $2.2 million in equity financing in June.
