Origin Holdings Inc. has taken in $126 million in an equity financing, it reports in a regulatory filing posted by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday.
The Windsor, Conn.-based company is connected to Origin Healthcare Solutions LLC, formerly known as SSIMED Corp. Also based in Windsor at the same address as Origin Holdings, Origin Healthcare Solutions provides software and services designed to help healthcare institutions manage billing.
The regulatory filing names Origin CEO Jeffrey Kvam among Origin’s directors and executive officers. Kvam and other Origin Healthcare executives could not be reached this morning for comment.
The document does not make clear who made the investment, but in addition to Kvam it names Kenneth O’Keefe and Grant Patrick as company directors — also the names of two investors at the Chicago private equity firm of Beecken Petty O’Keefe and Co. The firm has been among the sponsors of Origin Healthcare Solution’s annual charity golf tournament for several years.
No one at Beecken Petty O’Keefe could be reached for comment this morning.
