Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. has landed $163.8 million from the U.S. Navy for fighter helicopters for the government of Brazil.

Under the Foreign Military Sales deal, Sikorsky will provide Brazil with four S-70B anti-submarine warfare/anti-surface warfare helicopters. Work on the contract will be performed in Stratford, Conn., Horsehead, N.Y., and Troy, Ala., and is expected to be completed by June 2012.

Earlier this week, Sikorsky brought in $8.4 million from the Navy for engineering on helicopters used by the U.S. Marines to carry VIPs, including the President of the United States.

Sikorsky is a subsidiary of Hartford, Conn.-based United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX). UTC reported a net income of $1.1 billion on revenue of $13.4 billion for the quarter ended September 30.
