Applied Physical Sciences hits on stealth tech R&D deal

Applied Physical Sciences Corp. has landed $8.4 million from the U.S. Navy for research and development on stealth technology, according to the U.S. Department of Defense.

Under the deal, Groton, Conn.-based Applied Sciences Corp. will develop advanced analytical, numerical and experimental methods used in stealth technologies to reduce the visibility of its vehicles. The work is intended to close gaps in the knowledge of mechanistic and system level interactions involved in stealth technologies, according to the Department of Defense.

Applied Physical Sciences Corp.
was founded in 2002 and provides specialized research and engineering services to the Navy. The company also has offices in Lexington, Virginia and California.
