Hocoma's U.S. head Remsberg moves on to California
By Mass High Tech staff
The CEO of the Rockland-based U.S. arm of rehabilitation systems maker Hocoma AG has signed on as CEO of Tibion Corp. in Moffett Field, Calif.
Charles Remsberg, who served as CEO at Hocoma Inc. for three years, was hired by Tibion, which is developing wearable bionic technologies that Tibion said combine rehabilitation and enhanced function for patients impaired by stroke, neuromuscular disease, surgery or aging.
Hocoma, headquartered in Switzerland, has its U.S. operations based in Rockland. Hocoma develops locomotion technologies for patients recovering from conditions such as spinal trauma, stroke and head trauma.
Hocoma’s website didn’t mention plans to replace Remsberg.
Remsberg, who Tibion noted has 20 years of sales experience in rehabilitative technologies, has served as a member of the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce, and attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst and the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
