2009 Tech Citizenship honoree: Molecular Inc.

While Molecular Inc. spreads its charitable works out to a variety of efforts, such as raising funds to help fight cancer by supporting employees riding in the Pan-Mass Challenge, it has a strong representation in charities that help provide educational opportunities.

“Finding ways to use our resources to help our community is core to our company’s culture. Whether it’s contributing our talents and expertise to help One Laptop Per Child build an online community or sharing our time on Boston Cares’ Corporate Volunteer Day, our team is very passionate about finding opportunities to serve those in need,” said Molecular CEO Howard Kogan.

In addition to working with OLPC to help distribute affordable laptops to underserved communities around the globe, Molecular employs high school interns once a year in association with Boston Private Industry Council.

Also getting support from Molecular is the Everybody Wins reading program, Power Lunch, a lunchtime reading and mentoring program that has volunteers from businesses and community groups travel to local elementary schools during the lunch hour for one-to-one reading with students.
