The Departed: MHT tracks Greater Boston companies leaving, shutting down

Financial services software maker SS&C Technologies Inc. has acquired TheNextRound Inc. , a Framingham-based software maker serving private equity and other alternative investment firms.
In a press release today, Windsor, Conn.-based SS&C said TheNextRound has 45 employees and a client list of 225 firms. TheNextRound’s flagship product is TNR Solution, a software package providing partnership accounting, investor relations, customer relationship management (CRM) and fundraising applications, as well as deal, fund and portfolio management.
In a statement issued today, TheNextRound president Vipul Minocha said the acquired company is pleased with the merger. Terms of the merger were not disclosed, however.
In 2007, TheNextRound ranked ninth on Deloitte’s New England Technology Fast 50 list of growth companies, having posted 1,642-percent growth.
