Clinical Data’s cardiac stress test hits Phase 3 trials

Clinical Data Inc. has begun a Phase 3 trial of its cardiac stress testing agent, Stedivaze, in detecting defects to supplying blood to the heart. The trial is intended to compare the agent to adenosine in myocardial perfusion imaging.
The randomized trial is being conducted with about 750 patients in a time period of up to two years. In addition to running a comparison between Stedivaze and adenosine, it will also analyze cases of side effects such as cheest pain, dizziness, shortness of breath and headache.
Newton-based Clinical Data (Nasdaq: CLDA) announced on Tuesday that it has formed a scientific advisory board for its PGxHealth division, which develops the Familion line of genetic tests.
