Earlier this month, Raytheon gave General Dynamics Corp. $17 million to build gun systems for the Phalanx Block 1B Close-In Weapon System and the Centurion Land-Based Phalanx Weapon System.

Waltham-based Raytheon reported a net income of $490 million on revenue of $6.2 billion for the quarter ended September 27.
